It was a lovely evening here; a little cool but very pleasant in the sun. I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood and my eldest son asked if he could go. He got a digital camera from his grandparents a few months ago and he wanted to take some pictures like his daddy. It was so great to have him with me.
He shows me a different way of looking at the world and provides a constant stream of his thoughts and opinions.
I hope there are many more such evenings.

Crash site
A quarter of a mile south of my house lies the busiest private airport in the world, Van Nuys airport. Two days ago a private jet crashed on takeoff killing both men aboard. The plane crashed in the backyard of a residence just north of the airport. Fortunately no one on the ground was injured but there was quite an intense fire with extensive property damage. My family and I visited the crash site about nine hours after it happened and were able to view the wreckage and damage that it caused. Only the men had been removed so the entire plane in it's many pieces were there to see. I went back the following evening and most of the wreckage had been removed but the results of the crash and ensuing fire were still quite evident.

First post

This is my first attempt at creating a blog. My idea is to share my thoughts and ideas along with my love for photography.
