Happy Monday all! We seem to be coming out of the June gloom around here and actually seeing the sun. Of course now that we're seeing the sun it's getting really hot. Maybe the gloom wasn't so bad. Anyway, I hope you had a great weekend and I'll start your week off with a hit of red.

Got myself to the Greek
We had never been to the Greek, but after our first visit we were impressed. The sound system (something close to my heart ;) was full and beautiful. If you got to see Allison Krauss in concert you want to hear every nuance of her voice and everything was crystal clear.
Union Station, the band she surrounds herself with, is amazing. If you've ever seen "O Brother Where Art Thou" then you've heard these guys. The voice of George Clooney and the sound of the band was all Union Station. Top musicians all. The standout is a man named Jerry Douglas. He is a master of the dobro (google it). The man's a virtuoso.
Beautiful evening, amazing musicians. Can't wait to go back to the Greek.

Lighting the Way
There's a custom motorcycle on display at my work. It is a thing of beauty. Each part is handcrafted and the love the builder had while creating it is evident. I love seeing work from passionate people.

THANK YOU!
I want to give a huge thanks to all those who donated. Together we provided clean water for 72 people for 20 years! Here's where the money goes.
Did we reach the monetary goal? No. Does it matter? No. I asked, you gave, people were helped and my hair is blue. Win, win. In 18 months we are supposed to receive location information and pictures about where the money went specifically. I cannot wait for that!
This is truly something I am passionate about and I greatly appreciate everyone's participation to better the lives of those who can't do this on their own. I'm going to Ethiopia next January and I hope to connect with charity: water over there and possible do some photographic work for them. Just an idea still, but we'll see.

2 Days to go!
Clean water. With 2 days left for my charity: water campaign it is 70 percent of the way there. We've already provided clean water for 66 people for twenty years. I want to thank all those who've donated so generously thus far. I had an eleven year old ask me yesterday if he could donate. Humbling. How did he know I was running a fundraising campaign? Well I guess he took one look at my BLUE HAIR and had to know what that was about! I know, I said I would only do that if I reached the goal, but I couldn't wait. Interestingly, since I dyed my hair about a week ago I've had seven or eight donations as a result of people asking what the blue was for. I should've started off by dying it!
